Saxo 1.5 desire brake lights

    Hi all, i have a brake light problem on my wifes saxo 1.5 diesel desire model. The rear brake light on the boot lid works but both the other brake lights fail to light up when i press the brake pedal. I've checked the fuse which i believe is f7 under glove compartment. I've also checked the switch above the brake pedal but i think if the boot lid brake light is working this must be ok. I have changed the bulbs and still nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Andy.

    The circuit boards might need cleaning mine stopped working the harage cleaned up the contact points and its been fine since

    Water in the rear lights? Very common problem.

    Cheers for the advice, i've got a mobile mechanic currently doing the front wheel bearings he said he would have a look, i'll ask him if he's got any electrical contact cleaner. The boards on both lights look ok no water came out when i originally took them of. I did put my multi meter on the brake light contacts and it seems like there's no power to them. All the other lights work i'll update later. Thanks for the advice all.

    Finally found the problem, i don't know why it stopped both brake lights working but the near side bulb holder circuit board is a bit looose going to the brake light so it makes and brakes the circuit. I've seen them on e bay or i'll try and get to a scrappy but currently both working. Thanks for all the advice.
