Dropped my keys down the drain..

    Dropped my keys and toad fob down the drain as i just got to work, no spare key but have a fob - will i need to get my ignition changed etc?

    You can get a new one from Citroen.

    They can use the key code... Or chassis number to get one cut and coded to the ecu

    But it won't be cheap.

    You can't just fit another ignition barrell as that key won't be coded to your immobiliser.
    So car won't start.

    Unless immobiliser box has previously been removed so your ecu is unlocked.
    Then a different barrel and key will work.

    Managed to get an extendable magnet thing from the garage workshop, phew!

    For some reason I've always been paranoid about dropping my keys down a drain, I only have one key and no fobs lol

    Same mate. Does anyone know a rough price of getting a car key cut? I take it most door key cutting shops would do it?

    Around where I live I've been told that I can get one cut and programmed for £15-20, I think I should get one done really lol

    I've had it over a year now and I don't think I've ever misplaced them, I got a jägermeister lanyard on them so it's easier to find them when i put them down and I put stuff ontop lol
