brakes

   hi my brakes hve stoped working i ws driving long yesterdy my brakes were fine then they stoped working my pedl just goes stright to the floor i hve put two bottles of brake fluid in nd that still hasnt helped it. ur help would be very welcome

   Leaking? low disk/pads?
   
   Have you actually look at the brakes?

   if you've put two bottles of fluid in then you have a leak and a bad one.

   Leaking master cylinder or a leak in the brake lines mate.

   i cnt see any leaks anywhere tho thts the thing

   With the car stationary, hand brake on, engine off, can you press the pedal to the floor? is there ANY resistance?

   i goes hard when my engine is off nd handbrake is up

   Take the cap off the brake fluid reservoir pump the brake pedal whilst someone observes if any fluid is being pushed back up into the reservoir.

    I would try it both, with engine on and then off. If the fluid disapears then its going somewhere. And will probbs then end up on the floor mate.

    As above,2 bottles of fluid used then you must have a leak somewhere mate,wouldn`t drive it like that either.

    the fulid stays in the resivoir

    Can`t offhand remember if vtr`s have drum or disc brakes at the rear,but have a look at the back of both wheels & check for brake fluid leakage.

    I had a brake problem before where I was not loosing and fluid but my pedel would sink to the floor and you had to pump the pedal a few time for the brakes to work and it turn out to be the back left caliper was letting in air somehow. Chnage the caliper, bleed it and al was good again. Maybe something like that mate
