#2it is difficult when there in bad nick,
basically theres a metal housing on the cable which is splined into the Hub, so you have to tap it through, punch and hammer, or beat the crap out of it as generally the cables are useless anyway.1 user thanked this post: -

On some there is a small lip on the forward side, try to get a screwdriver in there and lever it out.

#6Drivers came out with a big bit of a tap, had to take the wheel off to get passengers off. But all done
