replacing handbrake cable

    How do I remove the handbrake cable off the back of the brakes






    Ive got the wire off the brakes its the lines i cant remove

    it is difficult when there in bad nick,

    basically theres a metal housing on the cable which is splined into the Hub, so you have to tap it through, punch and hammer, or beat the crap out of it as generally the cables are useless anyway.

    so basically hammer the shit out of it till it comes free, not bothered about the cables ive got two new ones to go on

    These are really hard and annoying to get out but as said before just beat it and you will get it out mate

    Obviously soak it in WD first and go at it with a wire brush.

    On some there is a small lip on the forward side, try to get a screwdriver in there and lever it out.

    Drivers came out with a big bit of a tap, had to take the wheel off to get passengers off. But all done
