Will a vt axle with disks fit on a flat arch? Or is it bigger with haveing the arches?

Yea it fits, depending on what wheels your using you will need to remove the arch lip and likely pull it out a tad too. You need the correct handbrake cables.

Got vts wheels on mate I know about the handbrake. Do you have to do much work to the arch?

Mines the same setup and I've had no troubles! And I did no work to the arch at all!

It's 10mm longer, almost straight fit. You may need to adjust the brake pipes.
