oil drain plug

   Hi what size are the oil drain plug washers? halfrauds were no help and said without bringing it in they cant tell me what one i need (1.1 citroen saxo with 8mm squre)...so any one no what size washer i need?
   Also to use a socket on the hex bolt instead of using the 8mm square, am i rite in thinking its a 24mm socket ? thanks.

   If yours has a washer it will be the first Saxo or 106 I know with one and I serviced 100's of em. Normally just clean the plug with brake cleaner and clean the plug seat then put it back in.

   you can get a genuine one from citroen for a couple of quid if you want one part no 016488

   It will be 24mm if it requires a socket aswel

   a sump plug washer?? ive never seen a TU without one. Acts like a gasket/seal

   I have never seen one on any of my 4 Saxo's my mates didnt have one either

   ALL of the pugs/citroens I've had have washers on the sump.
   
   They leak without washers unless you put sealant on them
