2 problems!

  1. #1
    Basically my first problem is:

I hear a farting sort of blowy noise on acceleration from the front of the car until I get to 3k and the supersprint drowns it out , like underneath the drivers side. Now I'm guessing this is the exhaust blowing from the connection at the manifold ?
Could this just be the fire ring needing replaced or it not tightened up properly ? As centre section is a barely 6 month old supersprint.

    Second problem:

How do you adjust the dipped beam manually ?
I have real Depo headlights and fitted xenon bulbs as thought the old bulbs might just be crap but its still not shining as good as it did with the standard headlights.
It's becoming a bit dangerous on the unlit back roads

jack up car, start up car, get someone to rev and stick your head under

just remember not to have it in gear of course

but if exhaust has been recently fitted there is a good chance the exhaust to manifold connection hasnt sealed properly

on top of the head light casing there is a hole where you can put a x head screwie in and adjust it, well thats on a mark 2, if its a mk1 just sell the car

Cheers luckily its a mk2 then eh haha

still confused at how to manually adjust the dipped beam, had a look around today couldnt find any way of adjusting them.

either that or the depos are making the light not shine correctly!
can barely see the road at night on the motorway, scary shit!

Should the little umbrella thing in front of the bulb be black ?
I'm sure it was white on the standard headlights ?
  6. #6
    still cant adjust them!
i used the screwdriver on the adjuster and it did nothing!

Theres a thing, to the right under the steering wheel that moves up and down?

I use that, not opening the bonnet and messing with them.
