knocking noise?

    Hey

Picked up my first vts a week ago and the previous owner said the knocking noise under the drivers seat and the gearstick shaking is the offside driveshaft inner boot? What I'm asking is...Does that sound about right? I'm new to all this so haven't a clue, I'm having it checked out in the next week or 2 just wanted to see what you lot say lol.

    Cheers

it could be the driveshaft but you would normally be hearing a clunking noise when turning i had the same knocking noise in question and it was the drop link bar that links your anti roll bar to your suspension leg i would say it was that. or it could be the bottom arm bush but most likely the drop link let me no what it was when you have it looked at.

Reading on the net after what u put mate and read that it shouldn't make any knocking noises over smooth surfaces? If its the drop link bar?

I can feel it through the steering wheel and it doesn't really knock when turning? Should be having it checked on monday to see what it is so I'll let u know

if the road is super smooth, you wont hear the drop link or arb knocking, if you can feel it through the steering wheel i wouldnt say its any of the two i mentioned.

with drive shaft you can normally feel the knock with your feet when you turn the wheel
