VTS Alternator problem

  1. #1
    Hi all,

Im having from problems, I have since changed my standard VTS crank pulley to a alloy one and I seem to be having some problems...

When I fit my belt, the tension don't seem to get tight enough to put tension on the belt.. I have to pull the alternator towards me to take the slack...

And then when I start the engine the belt pulls to the right 'if looking down on the pulley system' and it cause's the belt to fray?

I have tried to hammer my jack rod between the chassis and pulley to bend it in but still seem to be having the same problem...

    Any help would be great!

Are you sure you have the correct pulley fitted & not on back to front?

What? That really wasn't a good idea!

Anyway, is the pulley the same as the standard size? If you put the old and new one next to each other are they an exact match? (take as many measurements with a pair of digital callipers as possible).
Where did you buy the pulley? (are they a reputable supplier?)
