Could be a loose plug on the back off the instrument cluster.

yes. think ill need to start stripping to find out the cause..
as for punching Yates, i was thinking of using a hammer. Fed up with fixing the motor since i fitted the new 743's.. grrrr yup french cats for u..

ive tried and tried knocking the shit out the dash and finally gave up after i knocked the rear view mirrior off. think i may just start breaking her soon.. thanks danny

Only option left is to take the cluster out and see if all the plugs are secure.
