Electrical problems with power steering and indicators

Last night i reconnected a stereo an aftermarket stereo into the saxo. had it all working sound. Then when pushing the headunit into the dash it all went off. On inspection i found that the grey wire on the connector block car side had come out of the crimp inside the block. it was late at this time so i thought id have a look today. so iv ran a new wire into the block and still nothing no power to the stereo no indicators and no power steering. so i checked all the fuses in the passenger side fuse box and they were all fine. at this point i gave up lol

any ideas anyone? is there another fuse box or is this a common problem? cheers

Have you tried it with the new Stereo disconnected. As if all was working before. If not then your going to have to look for a full wiring diagram and a multimeter to check your getting power to where it needs to go.

cheers just dont understand how it could all die just due to a power wire to the stereo failing. had a little ferk last night and the power steering works after driving the car for around 5 minutes same with the windows. but still no power to the stereo or indicators but hazards work fine.

so i sat scratching my head in my drive for a while and gave up again lol

there is another fusebox under the bonnet, try there.

seems odd if the PAS kicks back in after a few minutes, points to other problems.

this is what i was scared of. il check the other box after work tonight. its going in to have someone look at the rear beam on the 8th so if its not sorted by then il have them look at it.

gutted now as it was going so well. managed seal up sunroof, get my bucket seat welded in and fitted passenger seat back in to stop my lady moaning, cleaned up all the interior and engine bay. fitted new cold air feeds. removed the tar from footwells and even fitted my track sub lol hate driving with no tunes. and got a good deal on swapping my standard vts wheels for a set of cyclones. plans were to insure it today and get on track first week of feb but looking doubtful now due to lack of funds. il be putting a few pics on later. cheers for the help

i had the same problem when i installed a new stereo, it blew out my indicators and my hazards, i took it to the garage they had a look and fixed it in minutes, turned out it was a fuse that had blown on one side.
