bit of a story on this so add cool story bro ect at the end...
last august my downpipe broke from the cat so i put a 4-1 system on it as i was going on holiday a few days later. it ran fine for 1200 miles without the eml light on and i got the old cat/downpipe welded up and put it back on the car. the eml light came on soon after and has been on since although it isnt burning any more fuel (about 37 ish mpg on motorway runs) and it fully revs up.
i got an ebay device to reset the light and it stays off for about 3-4 miles then comes back on. ive just changed the cat and manifold in case the original one had a pinhole but the light is still on and im still using the original pre cat sensor but using another post cat sensor.
ive unplugged the battery tonight to see if it will wipe it off.
if it doesnt what do i do next? is it a trip to a citroen garage to get it put on a diagnostic? if it is the pre cat sensor can i use a mk 1 sensor ? (ill pinch the one from the missus vtr for the time being). the mot is due jan 24th and i plan on selling it once its got an mot so dont want to spend more on it than i have to.
