Really confused now HELP!!!!

   I have a 2001 VTR, im having a problem with the coolant sensors. I have a Blue sensor on top of the thermostat housing and another blue sensor below on the side of the head, the problem is there is so many different sensors available, and it seems the previous owner may have been playing with the engine not knowing what they were doing.
   
   I have spoken to some people they were saying "the top sensor on the thermostat should be a green one with a yellow sleeve". Someone else said it should be brown, also the sensor on the head i removed and googled it, it came up with 106 camshaft sensor!!.
   
   If anyone could help it would be appriciated

   Overheating, the fan doesn't kick in and temp gauge does not work
