So, in short; brake lights work both sides. But looking at the car from the rear, the left light doesn't work (when the headlights are on). If I turn the fog lights on both lights work (I think this is because fogs use the same filament the brakes do). They're double filament bulbs, so I bought a new bulb that was confirmed working, and still no tail light on the left. Right works fine. 
Anybody had similar experiences? Any help would be much appreciated as it's MOT time soon and well, we all want our cars to pass don't we?
