Im looking to upgrade my vtr front brakes and i was wondering what you guys think would be the best setup without using spacers that would fit under vts wheels.

#2There is a few things you can do,
Get full braided hoses, decent pads and fluid for yours,
Get the 266mm upgrade
Or the 283mm upgrade
With the bigger upgrade there is also the brake M/C you can upgrade but although some people say its a must you dont have to, i run 283mm conversion on a furio M/C and its fine just a bit of pedal travel.
266mm you'll need no smaller then 14' wheels and 283mm 15' wheels, but ofc as you got vts wheels it wont matter.
This is only basic info on them, if you search there is countless threads on the pros/cons from all angles! -
#3thanks for the info ive already brought the braided lines
would you say some pads are better than other? and would a gti6 M/C be any good?

#4get some decent pads and then save the faffing about with swapping everything else. Unless you want something to show off behind your wheels your standard setup with some proper brake pads, your braided lines and new fluid will cope with everything you can throw at in on the road, not to mention it will be lighter so you will have a better ride over the crap potholed uk roads.

#5I bought mintex pads and brembo discs from Kam racing for my vts and they where spot on! So i'd recomend that or a simler set up.

#6There are a load of options but spending money on decent discs and pads will be well worth it. Something like the mintex 1144 or 1155's are pretty decent. We run F4R's on ours and the stopping power is damn good (although we run a larger diameter disc). Decent pads and discs with your braided lined will be the best bet though really.
