Mk2 vtr fan wiring diagram

    has some one please got a wiring diagram for the mk2 vtr fan?

    I need to wire the mk2 fan into the mk1 harness. I have all the wiring loom from the mk2 fan ust need to know what wires do what any help would be great.

    Bump I sorted all wires apart from 3.

    I need to know what wires to splice these into on the Temp switch on the mk1 radiator.

    tom5190 is your man, infact he was meant to email over how to do this as he spliced my loom, need to pm him about that as it goes.

    LOL been talking about it today mate he doesn't have any info on putting a mk2 fan on a mk1 just the other way around.

    The problem I have is my mk1 car runs the temp switch in the radiator and the mk2 fan I have is controlled by the ecu.

    How would you want it to run,

    When i done my conversion went from 3 plug to single my fan was connected up to run full speed all the time.

    Just to switch on full speed as the engine temp needs it. Ideally controlled by the temp switch on the rad. Both have three wires I am just wondering if I can use that to control it rather than the ecu.

    Yeah That would be great, I can get pics of the wires and colours of the plug on the temp switch on the rad.

    Right I got this sorted today. So if any one needs to do this i will include tags for search reasons in the future.


    The pink wire needs to go directly to the fuse box with a +12v supply. The ground from the mk2 fan goes to the green wire on the mk1 fan. the green and the yellow wires from the mk2 fan are unused.
