170922288630 - that's the item number of the one I got just before Christmas. Fitted it to the car and was driving down the yard to work.

The quick release released itself and wouldn't lock back in so had to drive home with a loose wheel.

Still waiting for paypal to sort it in the dispute centre. He wants me to send it back and pay for postage then pay again for postage of the replacement.

Does it have to be removable as there is fairly reasonably priced sparco and omp spacers on demon tweeks think there around 50-60 quid

To be honest I never thought I would say those four words together but they are a decent price as prices go for those brands

    Not good to hear that.

There are China specials on ebay for £20, thats not that cheap tbh. Generic spacers would be less than a snap-off

I've had a sparco one for about a year and it's been absolutely fine, feels no different to normal.

Seriously buy a branded product. You do need your parts to work. What if they fail at 70-80mph. Steering is rather important!
I have an OMP one. Its rather expensive, but absolutely solid. Its built to cope with anything and has been tested to do its job. I have no doubt it will put up with any abuse. Lifeline make similar but its a lot cheaper. Almost as good...
Sometimes a chinese copy can seem a good idea but not in this case...

As above do you really want to spend cheap on something important just put a bit of money by each week have one less beer on a Friday night add it to the fund ...... If I have learnt something while owning a saxo it's listen to other people advice and buy once but by all means shop around for the bargains eBay quite good on these sort of thing

I think steering wheel quick release is one thing I wouldn't go cheap on! Just for piece of mind if nothing else.
