#2handling will be fine mate, more rubber on tyres remember, 14s i think are the best for handling
altho down 60 im not sure handling will be as good as it would be at 40/50
if you want give me good rep

#314s will be fine
but it will be to low for great handeling 30 or 40 will be good -
#4iam down 60 on standard vtr wheels and it handles really well
-
#5if you went in a saxo which had been properley set up you would change your mindQuote:Originally Posted by puzzledzippyiam down 60 on standard vtr wheels and it handles really well

#6there isnt much chance of that at the moment

#7The SaxMax cars are lowered 60mm or more but no doubt have different torsion bars etc.
Handling would be best on 14s. Because that is how it left the factory and how Citroen intended the car to be.
With a lower profile tyre however, you can be more direct with cornering. Rather than the car rolling on the tyre. So more tyre does not neccessarily mean better handling, just different characteristics. -
#8handaling is definately better on the smaller wheels. on my 17's she does like to slide a bit, and ofetn gets a bit twitchy with the back end

#9mines down 60mm and 14's and it handles well, I take your point, down 60mm has its good points and bad, but for me its spot on, plus I have been in other cars with dif set upsQuote:Originally Posted by hesslevtrif you went in a saxo which had been properley set up you would change your mind

#10im down 45mm and it handles really good and alot less likely to have the back end come out like lower cars.
-
#11But remember there are other issues with lowering 60mm, such as driveshaft wear.
-
#12Good point, the driveshafts are at a severe angle and the bearings wear quickly.
-
#13How quickly? Because I have just got myself a 60mm lowering kit on order and that worries me. Both my driveshafts and bearings are less than two months old how long will they last me?

TBH mate, i really can't put a mileage figure on it. They won't wear rapidly though. -
#15Lol good. That wasnt pleasant. Dont like big bills. Could'nt breathe. OH no.
-
#16I've done 38000 miles on 60mm drop car is 3yr old, and I'm still on original shafts
