PAS pump question

    My pump packed in today, I realise its a common problem. I have sourced one from a W reg VTS, the problem is I am not sure if it is going to fit or not. W being the changeover year and all. Anyway, the pump looks the same visually, but mine sits tightly behind the front of the car, wheras this one sits in a good bit. Am I right in saying that the only two types are with integral reservoir and remote? or are there other differences? Am hoping its just mounted differently and will fit

    They both fit mate & yes theres only two types of pump.I take it you`ve removed the mounting collar off the old one & fitted it to the new one?

    Haven't stripped either off the cars yet, didn't really want to get cold and wet til I knew it should fit. And doing by torchlight not best idea either.
