Important! : indicator relay

  1. #1
Hi i believe my indicator relay is dying as when selecting the left or right indicator at times it the lights go out and it flashes fast then when you hold the stalk down it comes back. The relay on the left (gray one) is the one taken from the passenger fuse box but looks different from the others. Only has three pins but the relay on the right is what i was planning on using as a replacement as i have just bought it. Am i OK still using this as my thought is that the pins not used their is no wires to them in the harness.

    Thanks

That sounds more like a worn indicator switch arm (the stalks)

It's a common fault on Saxos

If you need one I've got one for £15 delivered

have you had the stalk apart and cleaned it then put it back together? Resolved mine and I had the exact same problem but its quite a fiddly job but nothing a spare half hour cant sort. That said if the contacts are too worn then you'll need a new one
