Idle control valve problem

    Hi im having a problem with my saxo vts the harness coming out of the idle control valve when i push the red wire, its sorting its self out but when i let go its idling up and down also my dash etc it vibrating i got a quote for a new harness and they said it would be £1000 i just need tio know can i cut the wire where the brake is or any other way to resolve this problem.

    £1000 for a VTS wiring loom?! and yes you can cut the wire and rejoin it. All for nothing, bar electrical tape.

    can i use like a crimp or chock block to rejoin ? you think this would resolve my problem.

    Solder butt connectors would be your best bet mate.

    Ive cut wires now back together, but still idling just under should the car be idling just under 1k and this is still making my dash vibrate on and off....... any ideas??????? its driving me crazy!

    On idle you should be at around 950 rpm,have a look around the throttle body & check for air leaks mate.
