Airbag light after fitting 106 leather

   I couldnt seem to find a direct answer to this so here goes...
   
   I have a phase 2 vtr, I swapped the interior for the non-airbagged gti half leather. The airbag light is on permenantly. I realise this is because the pre-tensioners are not wired up.
   
   I removed the old plugs from the vtr seats but when I come to wire them up the wires are different colours.
   
   Can anyone shed any light as to how to wire this up correctly & if done will it actually get rid of the airbag light?

   Should be mate that if you swap over the pretensioner wire & unbolt the pretensioner unit as well.Then swap them over to your gti seats then it all should be plug & play.

   Do I have to un bolt the pre tensioner? Just to confirm original vtr seats wire is blue and brown and 106 seats have pink and blue

   Yes unbolt the pretensioner unit from the vtr seats,bolt into the gti seats=plug & play mate.

   It SHOULD be blue on blue and then brown to pink. Make sure you get it sorted bud, if you havent already, could save your life one day!!
