Weird Hesitation

Sometimes, normally when the car has been started for a minute or two and then driven for a bit or sometimes randomly it will just hold back and when you accelerate I misfires a bit and wont go then all of a sudden it's fine again and it doesn't happen normally for the rest of the journey. Any ideas? It's a 99 VTS

Mines doing it. The cold isn't doing it any favours I think mine might be coil pack related. Moisture inside it or a leak. Mine starts lumpy, then drives jerky for a few mins, then its fine.

Im wondering if there is condensation inside, so when the engines left to cool theres water built up in the cp. Then when i start it up its lump, as the engine heats up the water evaporates and its ok..... maybe.

Coil pack can sometimes do this.

as above sounds something to do with coil pack easy to change and not to cheap to buy, if you know a fellow saxo owner ask for a lone of his and take it a spin to see if it does it, also clean idle control valve with such thing as carb cleaner as your first point of call as it is only 2 torque screws but mind let it dry before reinserting, there are great guides on here if you use the search you will find them no bother

Cheers, will do the above, not sure if it's related but my car seems to hold back alot, maybe something wrong with cat, let off the throttle and car holds itself back quite alot, then jerky again when you accelerate. It's covered in snow at the moment though lol

Someone also said there is a small filter inside the fuel pump? And to check that?

You can check your coil pack using this guide : http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=420719

mine is bad , followed by that guide. Im thinking of Ford coil and cables, cheaper then a std coil pack.
