130 bhp standard....?

    Theres a mks vts for sale near where i live who's owner claims it is a vts with 130bhp standard...
    ive never heard of this before, sounds like a load of sh*t to me but then im no expert.
    is there such thing? if so how can they be identified?

    this has come up before mate similar question someone got a car specification sheet up and had saxo vts down as 130bhp maybe some truth in it as they bunked the vtr up 10bhp so why wouldnt they have done the vts

    i heard the ones without the egr valves had 130 bhp???

    I was under the impression the later spec VTS were 130bhp if this is a myth my dreams have been shattered.

    myth and it wasnt the ones with the egr valve, it was rumoured to be the blocks that had the mounting points for the egr valve but no actual valve. All rubbish though

    i remember this a while ago and it was certain V and W reg vtr's and vts's that apparently were bigger bhp for a limited time. search for a thread on it, cant remember which one it was but there was a link to a massive massive discussion/debate/arguement/slagginfest on another site that i found.

    its all rubbish, ive owned one of these said cars and engines and the owner had a RR print out that had 130bhp, i took it to a place local to me and it came out with the standard figs for a standard car, there is no 130bhp vts, 120bhp out of a 1.6 is bloody good to start with.
