Spoiler advice please

    Hello all,

I'd like your opinions on this spoiler I'm going to buy.

Firstly is it the same colour? The guy I'm buying it from doesn't know the colour code...

Secondly, I've looked at some threads about fitting spoilers and people are saying that you can stick them on using tiger sealant, but I'm not sure if this is the type of spoiler that would work with?

My saxo looks more red in natural lighting, the colour is EKQD Wicked Red.

I would say tiger seal aswell.

Not sure regarding the colour. Pics are too small. Does the dude you bought the spoiler off still have the red car this spoiler came off? if so ask him what the code is on the car.

Is the shape of the spoiler ok for tiger seal use? most people use it with smaller spoilers from what I have read.

Does it not let you click on the pics and make them bigger?

Don't think so, he said hes never used it and it's been sat in his garage for years.

The smaller spoilers are joined to the window. I know i have that one on my Saxo

    You havent read very well

that spoiler you have goes on the top of the boot. so dot some tiger seal on and tape it down to secure it.

The spoiler you posted is the only o.e spoiler you can bond on the mk2 spoiler bolts through the glass and glass isn't a good surface to bond to.

So I can bolt this one because it attaches to the roof? would be easier to use the sealant though no?

I tried tiger sealing a mk1 spoiler to my old mk2 and it didn't turn out well at all it fell off twice so didn't bother in end

I'm confused now, which spoiler do I have mk1 oem?
  15. #15
    I get it now guys

For anyone thats interested I decided not to buy the Mk 1 spoiler as me and the seller decided it wasn't the same colour, I'm now buying a Mk 2 spoiler that is definitely wicked red, I'm thinking it will be easier to fit too

I work in the trade and use tiger seal and polyurethane sealer every day and it will work but don't expect it to be there one day. Think about it you are sticking it to something that is totally smooth and non absorbent.

    What can I do then?

Place your head in your hands and just cry

as said bud. tiger seal and a poop load of tape to hold it firmly whilst it dries. if its not tight enough it will move and wobble and as i discovered it does work loose. the second time i did it like below and it never moved a millimeter was perfect. dont be to shy with the tiger seal its good stuff but still likes a liberal splodge
