   any one know where i can get decent discs and pads allround for my gti not to expensive tho thanks.

   ebay for discs, KAM Racing for pads.
   
   What kind of use does the car see? "Fast road"?

   similar to OE spec. As I said in my first reply, depends on what you want from your brakes really. For a standard car, driven normally, they're adequate. If you drive hard down backroads and like sharp brakes, there's better out there. At this level, pad choice is important. Discs not so much.
