bought car about 3 weeks ago HELP??

Looking at the expansion chamber and in the water it looks like the shining on top of the water, like you would get if you put split petrol on the floor there isn't loads just slight no gunk or anything around caps and oil dip. No overheating. Hasn't got a oil temp but the light hasn't been on or abything been running fine, av been told a small part of the head might be gone and a very slight amount of oil might be seeping into the coolant casuing contamination? Will overheating and white smoke be next? And if soo how much is the kit roughly including fitting from a local garage or private mechanic. Cheers lads

Sniff test it.

Drain the coolant do a full flush and re fill. Some engines have slight oil in the water just from using the same container to fill water and oil. Its not uncommon.

Anyone else had a similair expeirence like this before? Could do with some info guys.
