Important! : HELP car wont lock

anyone know why my driver's door wont lock????

the doors been a bit stiff when I've locked it the last few days and now it wont lock at all :s I've had the door card off and tried fiddling with the lock, sprayed half a can of wd40 wherever I could get the nozzle in and tried to remove the locking mechanism completely but couldn't work out how to remove the pins from the handle and door pin so I gave up and put the door card back on.

could it be fixed easily/cheaply free would be amazing but I'm willing to spend a bit of money to get my car to lock again lol.

Sounds like locking barrels seized. Also, could be central locking mechanism that has gone so check that, usually you won't be able to budge lock when that's gone.

Fixed the problem now, not entirely sure how me and my brother in law sorted it but he had the door card off and fiddled with the mechanism took the pin off that goes to the top of the door to lock it from the inside so that's now missing, but it now locks again so I can park in town with confidence lol
