VT Body Kit

Yoo, i know there are many guides and ive re-read them about 25 times each!
I understand that for the rear arches on a body kit i will need to cut a strip off the underlying body panels.
What i wanna ask is for tips on it...
Im new to all this and need to know what sort of tools how people have gone about it before and whether its too hard a job for a beginer :L

Mark it roughly where u need to cut. Any mistakes shouldn't be seen. You'll need some tin snips aswell or something that will cut it. Crack on!

Tiger seal if you can't be bothered to mark and drill holes

Well I did it on my sons 1ltr, so anybody can do it lol What I did find after I re-sprayed my sons car, was that the door trim was hitting on the front wings, so not allowing the doors to open completely, so out came a file and an hr and 2 blisters later it was sorted. For cutting the flat arch, I used a good old fashioned electric grinder.

What I would say is drill holes and use Tiger seal, as I wouldnt trust either on their own. On the bright side it is a piece of piss to do.

Grinder is the best bet for cutting the rear arches,a neater cut & quicker too.
