starting problem

if i leave my car for a while, say more than 10 hours before driving it again it doesnt want to start right away! takes a few seconds before it starts.

once it starts it idles low and sort of misfires for say 1-2 second then goes back to normal.
it was alot worse in the cold weather, took longer to get it started.

any idea what this could be ?
the cars due a service including doing the spark plugs in the next few weeks.

    ALSO

I have a random misfire at 1750-2000 rpm when the engine is cold ? Goes away after about 5 minutes of driving
    Any ideas ?

    Still got this problem.
Struggled to start today, when its trying to start its so sloooww!

Surely it can't be the battery as this ones only 1 year old

My guess would be the battery, have you checked the alternator to see if its recharging properly? The cold temperatures do make battery's worse. I may be wrong but it's worth a try.

maybe electrical drain? i had one on mine with exactly the same symptoms. i had to go fuse by fuse to check for an amp drop. mine was 0.14A with nothing in, should be 0.02 i read. i found it, then it was a matter of finding th short and sealing
