rev counter randomly not working

   Hi sometimes my rev counter randomly doesn't work. It stays a zero on tickove but does move when u rev the car. Any ideas what would cause this cheers

   Check your connections behind the dash clocks,i`m not 100% sure if saxo`s use a rev counter sensor on the gearbox or whether its controlled by the ecu.So it could also be a faulty sensor.
