Alternator issues?? Really need this sorted!

    hey guys.

been having a lot of trouble with my 1.5d. when ive been driving for a good half hour, it idles just below 500 and feels like it wants to stall. when i have my rear demister on it makes a low humming noise and then randomly the revs will dip right down like its stalled but then pick itself back up.

okay, when i have my lights on, blowers, CD player etc, the lights dim and it idles slightly lower. so i thought id do an alternator test. Got myself a multimeter and connected up to the battery, and when switched off i get readings of 11.98/12.04 so that's all gravy.

Switched the car on and let it just idle and i was getting readings of 13.56/14.10 and constantly moving up and down between them. I revved up to 1500/2000 rpm and was getting readings i tiny bit higher then just let it idle for a while. When it was idling, there was very tiny quick blips where it would drop right down and the red light on the reader would come on .. then would go back to green and i noticed it done this when the car randomly decides to idle slightly lower.

I then put everything on. My wipers, lights, rear demister, CD player, hazards etc and it was still reading about 14.04 but when i turned the steering wheel it would drop down to around 12 or 11.80 and the light would go to orange.

I'm confused and just need a bit of guidance. is a reading of 14 to high? and would you say its the alternator messing around?

Thank you, thats settled my thoughts about alternator pumping out too much. Do you know what might cause the blips in loss of power? as i said above i got quick small drops of volts and im confused as to what could cause that.
