well it all started a few weeks ago before the snow my heaters and my power steering stopped working. i thought nothing of it and just carried on. but tonight me and a few mates decided to go on a road trip and 20 miles down the road the car is over heating over heating exhaust is popping (it's a decat) loss of power and after about 10 - 15 minutes it started to mis fire. eventually when the clutch was engaged the engine just died so basectely bump it while heading towards an island. and eventually the engine just died completely. phoned the aa he said my head gasket was gone done a pressure test and re filled my coolant and verified it. is it worth getting the hg fixed or scrapping it?
the car is a 1.4 furio with a vtr engie full straight trough system lowered to the ground. body work damage just mainly my side skirt and wheel arch are missing and would it be an easy job to do by myself?

Head gaskets on these are cheap, especially if you DIY.
Give it a go yourself? Think there's a guide on here too

weekends work if that. Just you'll need to get the head refaced if its not gone banana shaped

Have a go yourself. If you fuck it up, the car is broken anyway! You will get £100+ scrap for the car if you try fixing it or if you just scrap it. Why now spend the £50 trying to get it right and once the HG is done, It wont need to be done for a minimum of 60k miles.... Buying another sax is pointless. the HG would end up going on that probably..
