I need to know if a cracked air filter will effect the MAP sensor.
Apparently my lambda sensor is switching, my fuel is rich, it's overfuelling and it won't pass the MOT due to emissions.
After a visual inspection I've determined that the air filter housing has a few cracks in it, medium sized.
So I'm guessing unfiltered air is passing through and is making my fuel rich?
Will repairing the housing sort everything out?
Planning to replace lambda sensor (maybe) coolant temperature sensor and MAP sensor (if the MAP is at fault)
Any advice would be brilliant, thanks in advance.
