Ive just went and sheered the brake retaining screw on the discs...
i've read i can still drive it without them.
is this true?

Yes of course it's fine. The wheel bolts go through the disc...
If you have snapped the bolt and it bothers you, take the disc off and use mole-grips to remove the remainder.

It just helps keep the disk aligned with the hub when fitting wheels.
The actual wheel / bolt clamp the disk in place

Cheers for the fast reply guys, it doesnt bother me like...
If something like that was important and it snapped so easily using a ratchet, god knows the strain if they took the load from an emergency stop!
ill proceed to just put the discs on!

^ Make sure you put the hole in the disk over the remainder of the retaining screw, or else the disk won't seat flush on the drive flange.

yeah i've done that, the bolts had sheered too far into the hub for them to cause a problem or for me to get them out.
The other side didnt have any....
If i'd started on that side i wouldnt of had to have made this thread lol
