vtr not reving parts 5500 rmp

    hello.i have a saxo vtr and it dont want to rev over 5500 rmp the eml comes on when it dose it.but sounds like it is hitting the limiter.and when i put the clutch in and rev it gose to 5500 then down to 5000 up and down ect.. and the eml flashers at the same time.any idears ?
