Ok heard people not on here but when I'm out go on about rolled arches... What is this? How do you do it? Can it be done to a saxo? I've just bought 20mm and 40mm spacers to use on new alloys and so someone said I need to do this...

#2what you do is you buy one of these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FENDER-REF...item3cce217d2d then roll your arches with it. Gets rid of the lip that comes on cars from standard.1 user thanked this post:

#3thats pretty cool actually ^
its not certain that you'll need to roll your arches, you just have to fit them and see. Saxos have a plastic vt arch over the metal arch so i dont think its necessary. Might just get away with binning the arch liners and trimming down the insides of the vt arches.
With rolling metal arches, i think you run the risk of damaging the paint -
#4That's why the tool is good mate I got mine for 99p £13 postage. you set the pressure and go really slow then you don't damage anything the vw lads seem to love em as you can force some serious arch stretch with them.

#5You cant roll plastic arches.....
Just file the lip off the inside -
#6I tried filing the lips on mine and it made a rite horrible noise, made paint peel and didn't work well at all. The garage rolled the lips and wasn't expensive. Also don't think the lips are plastic.

#7On a vt kitted car they are
Ive filed mine several times with no problems with paint ect using a smoothish file -
#8jack the car up, take the wheels off, get a mallet and slowly make ur way round the arch knocking the lip up, sometimes that does it.
IF NOT... like in my case, I had to get the andgle grinder out, get in the car pull the handbrake up and try and pull away get a mate to look where it looks like it may rub and grind that area back, bit by bit until the rubbing has gone.
