So best advice on painting bump stips gloss black ?

    says it in title bump stips are getting tarty and old, i seen saxos with gloss bump stips, best way how to do it, best paint, open to ideas, if theres a guide please post it, much thanks,

    The best advise ideally would be to have them professionally painted for best results

    ...Allthough you will have good results if you were to spray them properly yourself

    i can spray quite well had alot of practise on old bikes of mine, just what thickness of primer do i need what build, just because the bumper is textured, just would like advice on paint,

    Plastic primer, High build primer, Flat down, Base coat, Clear coat.

    I did the above over a year ago, used a spray gun and still looking good..
    Turned out like so.. prep is key!

    any ideas roughly how much i would cost too do it yourself? and professionally? all bump strips

    Doing it yourself would be a lot cheaper, plastic primer is £5 - £8, sand paper is usually close to £1 depending on where you buy it, paint would also depend on where you bought it and what sort you used, ranging from £1 - £25 (pro paint). Depending on the finish you want to get, primer could be from £1 - £25.

    I sprayed mine in plastic primer, then used some cheap primer from a can on top of that, then used professional paint with a gun on top. Mine has filled the texture of the strips ok.

    All depends on what finish you want. Taking it to a paint sprayed could cost all different amounts depending on who you take it too.

    okay mate thanks, i aint that bothered aslong as its a decent finish, looking fresh if you get me
