Cheers mcjacko, car isn't turbo'd but it has been remapped withe the few mods it has. Camshaft is standard

while we on clutch subject im replacing mine after giving it a bit abuse its collapsing as we speak haha i have a VTS would a valeo or LUK be fine for a VTS or can i get a better one

Valeo and Luk are fine for both Vtr and Vts, iirc im sure they can handle up to 180bhp anyway so no need for an organic racing clutch or anything unless your pushing serious power on boooost

What mods does it have then to make you question for a performance clutch over standard?

    Because "performance" means faster!!!!!

As said go for a luk or valeo both will outlast any 1.4 engine.

Got a race exhaust not sure what Make, head has been renewed, k&n air filter, decat, remap so I want a better clutch than an oem one. Cheers Bedford

    Don't waste your money.

OEM will be more than capable.

Furio is what, 75PS standard? The 180mm clutches can take about 160NM of torque before they start slipping.

    Valeo one will be fine.

You're not running something lairy under that hood.

Tbh if you ant already, when you do the clutch might aswell put a 1.1 gearbox on it! Will pick up better.

LUK are shocking springs went on the clutch in under 10k, Valeo or Saches.

I was about to say, stay away from LUK.

    Valeo all the way

Ha ha you do realise that if a l.u.k clutch goes under warranty they pay for new parts and labour to replace?

L.u.k are just as good if not better than valeo there is very little between them only the bearing in the l.u.k clutch kit is a little noisier.

Not a fan of luk either

And even if they are replaced under warranty, still have to do it twice at possible cost or time inconvenience

See I don't like valeo for this reason a brief stint working at vw and saw nearly one o.e valeo clutch failure a week.
