Another loud rumble with video :n:

    Got another big rumble noise while driving. Does it weather cluch is pressed or not, and the faster you roll the faster it rumbles. I sounds 10x worse in real compared to the video and all the door pannels vibrate making it worse... if you listen carefully you can hear it. Any ideas what it is?

    Mines doing this now!! 2000-2500rpm its worse.. does it stationary too!
    Stopped and popped the bonnet and it seems to be coming from cams and pulley area.
    went to pull off and wouldn't go into gear slammed it into revers and then the gears worked fine..
    could be more than one problem on mine though.
    if you find out what this is let me know

    If your car is vibrating like that shown above when stationary your big end is probably away.

    Hmm mine doesn't do it while stationary, if its doing it while stationary it could also be your engine mounts? no sure.
    I hope it isn't my drive shafts cause i had them replaced about 2 months ago because the CV joints split.

    my friends did this and replaced the engine mount and it was fine, if you do some hard driving or spinning the wheels, the bolt in the mount snaps

    as to the OP if its while moving it could be a wheel bearing? jack it up and spin up the wheel and feel the shocker, if you feel a rumble, the wheel bearing is shot

    I had a look, so did my dad and we don't think its the bearings. How can i check the drive shafts?

    yeah going to be checking my mounts! get some new mounts and new gear linkages, too much play means it wont go into gear at all. gearbox is fine, hoping the clutch is fine as it was done a couple of months ago!
    mine doesnt sound as bad when driving
