Trouble with vtr n/s driveshaft fitting into 1.1 box

    I've had a 1.1 box fitted into my 1998 saxo vtr but the n/s driveshaft will not fit in all the way and leaks out of the seal, i've been looking round some forums and people have said the vtr shafts will fit in the 1.1 boxes but the 1.1 shafts do not fit into vtr boxes. Is this true and if so why wont my vtr shaft fit into my 1.1 box. Somebody help me out here my heads battered lol

    I had a similar problem with my old vts. I got a rallye box and the driveshafts wouldn't sit right. It was literally a mm off from sitting properly. In the end i just got a new driveshaft bearing mount and it fitted no problem.

    See if you can find one at a scrappy. Worth a try.

    i ended up giving the shaft to a mate who works for a transmission company and they took about 3mm off the spline with a machine, fitted straight in and no leaks upto now, i've put a piece of cardboard underneath so i'll check in the morning to see if it's still sealed. Fingers crossed.
