Saxo Kit Car Body Kit

    Hello everybody.

    I have a dream, i want to build a Kit Car body to my Saxo. Can anybody help me? Is it possible or impossible?

    It's very important for me!

    I don't find anywhere a body kit, or spoilers, or anybody who did it before!

    Easy to fit a body kit, but your wheels will be sunked right back.

    Make sure you get it fitted correctly, A bad fitting body kit is like a fit bird with a wart on her nose.

    Its a straight forward conversion to do really regarding increasing the track width properly. Not really too expensive on the grand scheme of things. Less than the bodykit and paintjob will cost to do a basic widening.

    its all well and good fitting the nice looking wide body kit but will look dull unless you spend £100's on the wideer tracked suspension, or fitting like 50mm wheel spacers lol

    You mean £1,000's! The only wide tracked ones i have seen other than citroens own is gmc and colins. they dont come cheap because theres so much to do!

    depends how you want it done. Citroen used silly expensive custom hubs and parts get a special 'brand' tax, much like Peugeot Sport stuff. Colin has redesigned all the rollcentres etc, uses turreted rear etc. The rear can be widened with a plate and custom stub axle.
    The fronts a less extreme longer wishbone setup and extensions for arb and steering arms could be done with a slight tweek to the top mount position, Then use a different offset wheel to bring the tyre out a bit.

    yes prickle built one before he sold it for a k11 micra best pm him as he did all the work himself with the help of his mechanic joehindle

    I've always thought is best to start off with a flat arch model as if you look closely it uses pov spec side bump strips and no side skirts, and even if you start with a vt I would've thought the rear arches would still need to be cut

    i notice that kit comes with a fiberglass bonnet, bootlid and doors. Is this because the whole car is a slightly different shape with the panels on and panel gapping it is a pain in the arse or are they just provided as they are light weight?

    Lightweight and cheaper to replace than carbon when you bin it into a tree.

    you would need a £5-6k minimum budget realistically. On the grand scheme of things thats not a lot

    That would be a pretty decent engine aswell. Depends what you're after really.

    Just then you have the fun of sorting a decent rear beam and sorting the brake lines over the poverty spec drum set up.

    rear beams/brakes would be the least of my worries lol if i was fitting one of these kits i highly doubt id be using 90% of the oem parts, id only fit this kit to a car that was having a full nut and bolt rebuild with a decent spec, hence why id start with a flat arch, less holes that would need to be welded up due to it having no vt kit
