Hi, my saxo (t reg) started making slight whining noises yesterday when changing from 3rd to 4th gear only. Today driving back from work it's making a constant squealing noise, like when a fan belt squeals, what could this be and how do I fix it? It's doing it whilst in neutral and whilst driving thanks
Weird squealing noises

#1
-
#2does it dissapear when the clutch is fully pressed, if yes, it a clutch release bearing
-
#3When u put the clutch down its louder, if I lift it up (further than it should be??) it stops???
-
#4release bearing is shot mate, its a gearbox off job, while you're there its worth replacing the clutch at the same time
-
#5Can it be driven whilst its in this way? It's literally started tonight :-(
-
#6you can yes, but if it completely shatters you'll be without a clutch
-
#7Okies thanks Hun really appreciate help x
-
#8no problem
-
#9Mines been like that for nearly 3 years and not yet gone but the noise disappears on mine once warmed up so didn't really bother me, obviously best option is get it sorted though.

#10i do them for mates on my drive for £120 usually, aslong as they buy the clutch kit

#11Mine lasted for a week like that till it completely went, best getting it done asap mate
