saxo vts wont connect to code reader

   right another help thread because of this fucking car
   
   i have used 3 difrent code readers now and none of them will conect to the ecu they just said failer to read codes or failer to connect checked all fuses all fine anything else i can check? car is a 2000 reg 1.6 vts single plug ecu

   not sure weather its relevent but single plugs are obd1 and 3 plugs are obd2 so im pretty sure you have to have a reader that can read obd1

   Different protocol needed all saxo`s before 2001 need a lexia-3 code reader.
