Head gasket advice

   Hi there guys, I'm rebuilding my j4 Vts engine and went to purchase the head gasket, were I found that there are 3 different sizes 140, 160 and 180, I am aware that this is dependent on the amount that has been machined off the head but unsure of how to gauge the size required?

   Have you had the head skimmed?
   
   If not, your old gasket should have notches in it. Which would indicate the thickness.

   Yes I have just had it skimmed, but unsure of what gasket size to fit

   have you had it skimmed or refaced? ie: how much did they take off?

   They just skimmed it, just to clean it up
