Lowering Flat Arch Saxo, With 15"s.

  1. #1
so, i have some wolfrace 15" alloys with 195/45/15 and it was rubbing on the rear as i have flat arches (im guessing this is why). so i took the angle grinder to the arch and its not rubbing no more

if i continue to lower the front 40mm and go to a 195/50/15 (more common tyre size) is it likely to rub again ?..

On my old 1.0 I had it lowerd 30mm with 195, 45, 15 no problem at all

Just cut and role the lips and you should be fine.
Be sure to heat the paint first to help stop it splitting and flaking off

Why are you changing the tyres to 50 profile?

I can lower your car and roll/light flare your rear arches. Although I do fear that 50 profile may still rub a little on the bumper mount if not modified enough.

I would stick to 45 profile tyres, there's no point in getting 50's as there's a big chance you are going to have more rubbing issues.

50's rub on lowered vt arches (more clearance)

stick to 45's and 50 profiles arent common at all on saxos

you get the odd track car with 50 tyres im guessing down to availability and the fact they arent usually lowered a massive amount/carry passengers and a lighter shell
