Vts won't rev past 4 or 5 thousand revs

    Hey as title says bought lovely white p reg vts today has a few problems but the main 1 is it won't rev past 4 or 5 thousand revs av tried searching but can't find anything about it any idea what it could be am guessing its a sensor

    Crank position sensor.

    Ok spot on what 1 is that and il try it tomorrow av got heaps of spares for them

    does it like hit a limiter when it gets to those RPM or does it just not have like enough power to go any higher?

    Just looked on google I know which 1 is the crank sensor down at the gearbox

    Yeh was just confirming it was what I think. Yeh crank positions ensor is on the front of the gearbox

    Ok cheers for that guy says its running 160 bhp and been remaped but can't tell until I get it running right il try it in the morning

    I had this exact same problem with my vtr. I changed every sensor it had. Did coilpack fuel filter injectors with no luck. The eml came on for a split second as it was trying to go over 5k revs. Some people was sayin could be ecu. Id be intrested to see what causes this. Hope ya sort it good luck.
