Got this result from an Evo 6 crank. Never had one come out so distorted before, normally had a uniform "squash". Is it ok like this, or - as Im worrying - is it indicative of crank end float, wearing the journals at one side?

    Cheers

Repeatable when you do it again? Possibly oil wedge (ie, not totally clean surface)?

Edit to add: and this is with the new bearings, right?

yep, new shells, torqued down to book figures.

OK ignore this thread. My mates just been out and tried it with another new shell, and the squash was fine. Can only assume the first replacement shell was fucked.

    Cheers anyway!
