Head gasket and bolts

   Are all 8v head gaskets and head bolts the same? eg. I have gasket and bolts for a 1.4, will these fit my VTR?

   No.
   
   VTR is a steel block and the cylinder bore is a different size to the alloy block 1.4.
   
   your bolts are slightly different too, I'd imagine the 1.4 bolts will have a coarse thread.

   depending on who makes the bolts they come with various types of heads too, worth noting if you havent got a specific socket or E socket

   1.4 gasket is wrong --both cylinder dia and material --head bolts are same for both
