Alternator problem

   My car has been misfiring like mad started when it was just warm now does it all the time I have noticed if I drive with main beam interior light fans on and messing with windows ( putting load on battery ) it drives near enough perfect could this be caused by alternator overcharging ? Sending too much power to map / maf sensors ?

   dounds you battery light come on and power steering cut out?

   Whats the charging rate on the alternator like?
